We are a locally owned and operated business.  We are sensitive to the needs of small business owners as well as the individual computer user.

Basic Computer Solutions was formed to make  small business owner and individual PC owner as business savvy as the large corporations in utilizing their computer to its fullest potential.  We can provide in-home and in-business training one-on-one or in groups. 

We will analyze your particular needs and suggest ways you can maximize the use of your computer.  We provide what we term "computer house cleaning" to assure you do not lose any precious data and to keep your computer running smoothly.  Just like a car your computer requires regular maintenance and fine tuning.

We can procure and install anti-virus software leaving the CD with you in the event reinstallation is necessary.   For the latest virus security threats click here.  We remove any viruses we find present, as well as Adware, Spyware or Malware that can eventually cause a computer to shut down.  (See our educational webpage defining these terms and the difference between them).  We use and recommend AVG antivirus software and are certified to install and maintain this antivirus software.  For more information of AVG antivirus software (click here).

We also provide website development as well as maintenance and hosting of your site.  We have small sites you can use to build a larger site on as your business grows.  The small sites are unbelievably inexpensive and can provide a web presence for your business.   Give us a call and after hearing what you desire from your site we can give you a quote on what your cost will be.

If it is networking, either your home or business, and you are looking for the right solution, we can provide either a hard wired or wireless installation depending on your needs and budget. 

We believe education is the key to enjoying your computer and to using it to its fullest potential.  When we setup a new computer we provide a notebook with educational materials we believe will help answer most questions that come up involving your new computer and its use.  We provide all the phone numbers, serial numbers and data you should ever need.  If you do encounter a problem and need to get in touch with the company who made your computer the information will be easily available.  It is our firm commitment to provide the best service at reasonable rates.

We strongly support Delaware's program to recycle Electronic equipment including computers.  DSWA has a local drop off site in Harbeson, DE.  (Click for More Information)  The Delaware Solid Waste Authority has added additional drop off sites around the state and their website (dswa.com) provides those locations.

Company Profile

Our company has more than 50 years of experience in computer technology.  We are growing rapidly, but trying to remain just as committed to each of our clients as we make those strides forward.  Every day is a growing experience for each of us, and we strive to understand most of the new technology as it propels us forward into an exciting time in our history.

We are a active member of the Rehoboth Beach/Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce and are active in local community projects.  We believe giving back to our community is an important aspect of every individual and business. 

The company President and CEO is Robert C. Eyer.  

Robert worked for 25 years in the U.S. Government for the General Services Administration.  He is a graduate of the University of Maryland with his degree in Business Administration.  The major focus of his study was in Information Systems Management.  While in government service he was called upon to provide computer solutions for all of the organizational branches.  The experience he brings with him allows him to provide the expertise needed to provide the small business owner with the same kind of service.
